Day Five! We are halfway through our Peanut Butter crazy good time! Krispie treats are such a comfort food in my house. So add chocolate and peanut butter to that and you have a pan of amazing Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats!! You will love them, they will comfort you mind, body and soul.
Krispie treats remind me of being a kid. Kind of like a good song takes you back to a specific time and place. Do you know what I mean? Eating one takes me back to feeling like a kid, carefree, trouble free, and footloose. I love it!

Being an adult is great, but sometimes it is not all I thought it was cracked up to be! It can be stressful and hard. Sometime I need a break, and a yummy treat is just what the doctor ordered. Make some, eat one, it might do the same for you!

Mmmm, something tells me these would be a HUGE hit in my house. You just can’t go wrong with peanut butter + rice krispie treats. Thanks so much for sharing such a delicious recipe. I will definitely be trying it.
Iād love it if you linked this up over at Living Well Spending Less for Thrifty Thursday this week! http://www.livingwellspendingless.com/category/thrifty-thursday/
These are referred to as “Gold Bars” in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They used to sell them in Elementary Schools as fundraisers – made by the cafeteria ladies – I’m going to try your recipe and see how close it is – it looks just about right. These are probably REALLY rich – and will be best cut into smaller than usual rice krispie treat size squares – just guessing – but I think that is what these sound like – gonna try ’em! š Thanks for posting the recipe! š
You are so welcome for the recipe, and you are right! They are best in smaller pieces and I like them with a lot of milk! I hope they are as good as you want them to be, let me know how they turn out if you end up making them!
I really do love rice krispie treats but I HATE it when people let them dry out or don’t add enough gooeyness:)
