Peppermint Bark Rice Krispie Treats

Hi All! Hope your Thanksgiving’s were going GREAT! I know mine was! I think Thanksgiving might be my favorite Holiday….I know, WHAT? not Christmas? Well, I do love Christmas…. A LOT. But there is something about Thanksgiving, the food, the family and friends. The long day spent with people you love and no gifts that have to be purchased. There is just something simple, and beautiful about Thanksgiving Day and how much time is set aside to just be together. I truly, truly love it!

But, now that Thanksgiving is over, we are going full scale straight intoCHRISTMAS SEASON! Christmas is pretty much tomorrow!! Well not really, but seriously, it will be here before we know it! December always flies by so fast and there are so many things I want to do, places I want to go, goodies I want to bake and eat and things I want to buy during December that fitting it all in is tough. Anyone else have this same problem?

Well, we are gonna start it off with some mint yumminess. My first christmas holiday’ish post of the year. Peppermint Bark Rice Krispie Treats. I love rice krispie treats. I could eat the whole pan, how do I know I can eat the whole pan. Well…….I have done it! Ugh, embarrassing right? The truth hurts people! I also am a bit obsessed with mint. Oh, and I can’t stay away from chocolate. So…pretty much I ate the whole pan of these! Well, almost, good thing I had family around to help me out. 🙂

These are super easy to make. I found some peppermint marshmallows at Walmart and used them to whip up some krispie treats.

Then I crushed up some candy canes, and melted some white and milk chocolate chips and sprinkled and drizzled that goodness right over the top of my peppermint krispie treats.

Oh yeah baby, come to momma! {insert sigh of absolute contentment HERE} LOL!
