Thank You Cards
Say Thanks, with cute Thank You Cards. Whenever I throw a party, or make a big craft project I always have tons of scraps left over. Paper scraps….what to do with them?
I always think, should I just throw them away?? They are kind of a pain to try and store, and then half the time when I do keep them to use later, I totally forget that I have them!!
The paper that we used for the Baby Shower decorations was so cute that I pretty much wanted to marry it! There were the cutest pink polka dots, and the yellow was so bright and happy. I just could not bring myself to throw it all away. Cards are the perfect craft project to use up any scraps you might have laying around.
In this case I put together a set of 12 Thank You Cards for the mom to be. This was my gift to her, I figured that she would need some to send out thanks for baby gifts she received. Then her Thank You Cards would even match her shower!!! When things match it makes me unnaturally happy. I admit that I do have a problem in the matchy match area, I am seeking help.
These cards used up a lot of my scraps, left over ribbons, twine and pink jewels. The only things I had to pull out of my paper crafting supplies were the flowers, the white cards, plus the adhesive. I like to use a coupon and buy a set of 50 pre-cut and folded cards from JoAnn’s. It only costs me about $5 bucks and they each come with their own envelope. So much cheaper than the price of cardstock and I don’t have to cut or fold anything. Easy Peasy!
I also picked up a set of 2 mini-composition notebooks. Why are things so much cuter when they are small? I covered them with scraps of paper and decorated them. The mom to be can use them for whatever she likes. They fit so nicely in a purse, or pocket because of their small size. When my girls were babies I always needed a notebook around to keep track of feeding and sleeping schedules, etc. Plus when notebooks are cute, doesn’t it make you want to write in them more?
Seriously things that are cute and small are the best. That is probably why I like babies so much, plus they are so soft which is a definite bonus.
So go and make some cards, or notebooks, or even babies!!! Hee, hee, these are a few of my favorite things!

Cute stuff! I am exited for your blog!!
I have like ten friends who are expecting their first baby and I am going to make those cute little books so they can use them for keeping track of feedings, what side they fed on, or whatever else they want! So thanks for the great idea! What did you use to adhere the paper to the composition books?
Thanks sis! I used scotch liquid adhesive. It will glue paper or chipboard to almost any surface. Have fun, would love to see how yours turn out!
Love them, Brit! I’m all about using up my scrap paper.
Thanks Mom! It has been way too long since we paper crafted together. We need to do that!
