Valentines Day Krispie Treats
I have been feeling more love and patience towards my children than usual lately. They may not agree…..mom still does get cranky sometimes. But in my head and heart I am just adoring my 2 girls. Maybe it’s because we have another child on the way, or maybe it’s because it’s a New Year and I have new goals and resolutions set, whatever the reason, I will totally take it and hopefully those feelings of increased love will keep on lasting. One can hope, right?
Valentines Day is coming up, and of course as with most holidays, I look forward to it and I love celebrating it. I think I like a good party and yummy food. And since holidays usually come with both those items, yep….I am loving it!
I have a bit of an obsession with rice krispie treats. A fact that most of you, by now, probably already know. I like them warm and gooey and I will eat the whole pan given the opportunity. {wink} but, hello, who doesn’t want to eat a whole pan of that good stuff?!?!
These Valentines Day Krispie Treats are totally up my alley. Krispie treats are great because you can add whatever you want (within reason of course) and tailor them for your occasion. For today’s Valentines occasion I added some heart sprinkles and some pink sugar crystal sprinkles.
The nice thing about the sugar sprinkles is they are big enough that they don’t melt and disappear when you mix them in. The nice thing about the pink sugar crystal sprinkles is that they DO melt and disappear when mixed in, and they make your rice krispie treats turn PINK!! Even more holiday’ish!
Such an easy recipe, make some up and share with someone you love this Valentines Day. Or…maybe you really love YOU and want to give these to yourself, no judgment here, I would totally do that! 🙂
