General Conference Ideas for Kids (and Adults!)

 General Conference

I know this is very late as General Conference starts TODAY!!! But I was up late last night looking for resources to help me keep my own kids occupied during conference sessions this weekend, and thought just maybe my findings would be helpful to someone else too!

First, here are some resources from LDS.org. Great coloring pages, games to print out and even online games.  I am also including the link to an article that talks about preparing our children for General Conference. Definitely worth reading.

General Conference

Love this General Conference packet from LDS Clipart. I printed this one, my kids will definitely use it!

They even have so many wonderful coloring pages for you to print and use.

I do LOVE Sugardoodle. I have used it for many years, through callings in Young Women’s, and in Primary. It is a fabulous site, with so many fabulous resources, which means of course that it has some super great stuff for our kiddos to do during conference. They not only have the above idea for YW. But they have a nursery, jr. primary and sr. primary packet. Seriously awesome stuff, something for any age range.

This fantastic ideas from Nothing but Country is seriously adorable and so genius. To have candy in buckets with a keyword taped to the front. The kids have to PAY ATTENTION and when they hear a key word from one of the buckets they can eat a piece! I think this game would definitely help my kids listen!

General Conference

Nathan Richardson has made this fantastic note taking worksheet that works well for adults and older kids and teens. It combines places to take notes, boxes to check further actions you might want to take, like perhaps re-reading a talk. It also has a bit of trivia involved. I love anything that helps me to remember the wonderful talks, and has a place for me to write down any thoughts I might have while listening to the words of the Apostles and our Prophet.  I am going to give this worksheet a go for me:)

I hope that you found a resource that will be helpful to keep attention on conference this weekend for you and your family. If you need more ideas, feel free to visit my General Conference 2013 Pinterest Board HERE.

I hope you enjoy conference, it is a wonderful weekend!
