Strawberry Vanilla Banana Bread Recipe

Strawberry Vanilla Banana Bread Recipe

Okay, so I am definitely a sucker for pretty much any recipe that either starts out with Chocolate,  or Strawberries. If it has both than WOW, I am smitten. This Strawberry Vanilla Banana Bread Recipe is really delicious despite the fact that NO chocolate is involved. The flavors all mix together in every bite, strawberries, vanilla and cream. Yum!

I always seem to have brown bananas sitting in my kitchen. My family loves bananas, but we just never eat the entire bunch fast enough!!! Good thing they are so cheap huh?!?!?

Homemade Cards

Homemade Cards

Homemade cards,  I whipped out a whole bunch of them last night. That’s how I roll. I like to make cards. I like to craft with paper. It makes my heart happy. Plus, I am very cheap! And making a card is WAY cheaper than buying one; and I think people enjoy receiving a homemade card???? I know I sure do! So, I make them; all the cards I give away I make. But…I used to make each individual one for each person and occasion as it arose. No more, I do not have time for that. 🙂 So, I usually take one day every few months and crank out 20-30 cards. Thank you cards, Birthday cards, Baby cards, Anniversary cards, and cards for just any occasion. I thought I would share them with you in case Continue reading

Thumbtack Craft Balls

I really do love to collect all sorts of glass jars, glass hurricanes and glass apothecary jars. I always have these visions of placing them all over my home and filling them with beautiful objects. Then….they sit empty…usually because I either cannot think what to put in them, or the things I can think of to fill them with are just too darn expensive! Anybody else have this same problem?

Brown Sugar Strawberries

Brown Sugar Strawberries

Um, so I really really LOVE strawberries. But don’t you hate it when they are getting a little ripe and your kids won’t touch them anymore! What a waste huh? When this happens at my house I just cut up those little strawberries that my kids won’t eat (they say they are too squishy) and sprinkle some brown sugar on the top and magically all those previously “too squishy” strawberries disappear into mouths!

My kids and my husband absolutely love these strawberries! When the brown sugar dissolves and thickly coats each sliced berry it really is wonderfully delicious.

General Conference Ideas for Kids (and Adults!)

 General Conference

I know this is very late as General Conference starts TODAY!!! But I was up late last night looking for resources to help me keep my own kids occupied during conference sessions this weekend, and thought just maybe my findings would be helpful to someone else too!

First, here are some resources from LDS.org. Great coloring pages, games to print out and even online games.  I am also including the link to an article that talks about preparing our children for General Conference. Definitely worth reading.

General Conference

Love this General Conference packet from LDS Clipart. I printed this one, my kids will definitely use it!

They even have so many wonderful coloring pages for you to print and use.
