Chevron Wall Video Tutorial

Chevron-Wall-32turns

Oh my goodness do I have a TREAT for you today!!! EEEEK, I am so excited to share it with you that I can hardly even hold still while I type this!!! I now have a chevron wall!!

MarcyMy sweet friend Marcy from Mural’s by Marcy, graciously painted a chevron pattern on the accent wall in my craft room!! She not only volunteered to paint this wall for me but she also filmed and put together a seriously professional video tutorial of how to do it so that you can paint a chevron patterned wall of your own!! Marcy is seriously talented! Her site is being re-designed by my husband as we speak so soon there will be some awesome content on there.

You should definitely follow her blog and like her on Facebook so you can get updates on her great projects! She paints murals, walls, and furniture, seriously great stuff! Hopefully we are going to be able to work it out so she is able to re-paint my piano this summer!! Fingers crossed, I will keep you posted!!

I have always loved patterned walls but have been too afraid to take one on, I thought it would be WAY too hard. In Marcy’s video she shows you that although it is time consuming to get it right:) that it is totally doable and the results are fantastic!!! See for yourself!!

Tips on Cutting Vegetables

Tips to cut Vegetables

I don’t know about you but I for one did not pay enough attention when I was younger and lived in my mom’s house and could have benefited from her vast stores of knowledge. I am sure there was a time she taught me (or tried to teach me) the best way to cut vegetables or grill meat, or make my bed, iron a shirt….the list really could probably go on forever! If you are anything like me you have had to teach yourself these things throughout your years living on your own, and yes…sometimes I do still call my mom for various household tips and advice.

These 2 tips on cutting vegetables are my favorite. Probably because I eat salads a lot and lettuce and tomato are staple ingredients to any salad I make.

Blog Swap with The Experimental Home

P.S. While Laura is here at 32 Turns all day, I am taking over her blog, come and visit me at The Experimental Home where I will also be sharing a great idea for showing some love to your favorite teachers!

 —————————————————————————————-

Hi there! Laura from The Experimental Home here. I am so excited to be guest posting over here at 32 Turns today! Before I give you the details about an awesome thank-you gift for any woman in your life, I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. You know, so you aren’t taking crafty advice from a stranger.

I am a scientist by day, and a wife and mama all the time. As a scientist I learn by doing experiments, and it turns out that I do the same thing at home. I never know what I am doing until I’m done. Sound familiar? I bet it does. My blog is all about those everyday experiments.

Today I am sharing with you not one, but two experiments, all wrapped up in a nifty little package… Well the package is actually the second experiment. Anyway, let’s get started.
